The villa sits amongst olive and cypress trees on a peninsular, with direct access to the little pebble beach of Soukia. Secluded, spacious, and with only a 10-minute stroll to the bars, restaurants, and nightlife of Kassiopi, it combines the best of both worlds. It’s an excellent base for a large gathering, particularly those with independent teenagers.
Accommodation is spread across the main house and a four-bedroom annexe. There’s a large, light-filled sitting room with sliding glass doors on two sides opening to the terrace and a spacious fitted kitchen. All bedrooms are beautifully furnished and ensuite. The master first-floor bedroom also has a dressing room and private balcony; two of the ground-floor bedrooms also have private terraces, one with an outdoor shower.
A pergola-covered outdoor kitchen and dining room feature a wood-burning pizza oven and a long dining table for 16. Poolside, another pergola shades a table seating 12 and a gas barbecue. There are numerous places to sit and enjoy the different views and a beautiful infinity pool with views out across the sea to the mainland beyond. From the garden, it’s a short walk down a path to the sea or set off through the olive groves to Kassiopi.
Kassiopi, which is pleasant 10 minute stroll through the olive groves, has all the essential amenities, including a good choice of places to eat and lots of souvenir shops, supermarkets, bakeries, and pharmacies. There are are also some low-key bars which are popular with teenagers in the evenings. St Stephano, another popular village, is a 10 minute drive down the coast backroad. Avlaki beach, with two tavernas, is about a 15-minute walk. There is also a tennis court a short walk away in village Michelangelo. It’s well worth driving into the hills above to see the ancient abandoned Venetian village of Old Perithia, home to some of the best traditional food on the island. For further cultural delights, a trip to Corfu Old Town is highly recommended and can be reached by a captained rib in 30 minutes.
