The premiere boat hire company in the North East, Fillipos Boats, is based in the harbour. St Stephano, a short drive, is a pretty harbour village with tavernas and cafes. Both towns are popular with teenagers for low-key nightlife. The small pebbled beach of Avlaki and Kalamaki Beach are both within easy driving distance.
