The converted Tuscan farmhouse lies at the end of a private road near the woods and gardens of Villa Centinale and is surrounded by its private gardens, lawn and terraces. It’s ideally located for relaxing or taking trips to Siena, the Romanesque cloister at Torri or exploring the many trails on foot, by bike or horseback.
It is furnished with a choice mixture of antique and traditional pieces. Most of the seven bedrooms have garden views. There are five bathrooms. A highlight is the large open-plan kitchen, living, and dining room converted from a former pigsty.
Within the green and peaceful gardens are a pergola-covered dining table, pizza oven, 12m swimming pool, and table tennis. There’s a separate shaded area for evening drinks or retreating with a book. Guests have access to the estate tennis court by arrangement and to the holy wood (Tebaid), where there are statues by Bartolommeo Mazuoli.
The historic town of Siena, approximately 8 km from the villa, offers a wealth of restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions to explore. For air travel, Florence Airport is around 85 km away (about 1.5 hours by car), while Siena’s small airport provides limited regional flights. Guests can also enjoy dining options in nearby villages, making Villa Montagnola an ideal base for relaxation and adventure in the heart of Tuscany.
