Villa Marini is just over an hour from Florence and 2 hours drive from the Pisa airport. It is situated in Val d'Orcia just outside of Pienza. Pienza is a picturesque Renaissance town, perched on a hill with sweeping views of the valley. It is home to many beautiful churches and a clock tower, making it a great base to explore the valley from. You could visit Montalcino, San Quirico d'Orcia or Montepulciano. There is also the small medieval village of Monticchiello, as well as Bagno Vignoni well known for its hot springs, the castle at Radicofani or truffle hunting in San Giovanni d'Asso.
The rural villa is surrounded by countryside and beautifully landscaped gardens, including a vegetable patch with basilico, sedano, zucchine, pomodori and more for you to add to your home-cooked meal. The swimming pool is generously proportioned and a pool table is available to guests to use. The charming villa owners provide an excellent concierge service and are able to book a yoga instructor, a wine and cheese tasting or private chef for you, family and friends. Meals can be prepared in the larger kitchen and eaten inside or on one of the many patios overlooking the incredible landscape.
Villa Marini’s owners took great care restoring the villa while maintaining it’s rustic charm and there is a little bit of Tuscan in every detail. You will feel like you are part of the Tuscan lifestyle, but also be able to enjoy all the modern comforts you like including WiFi, a separate TV snug, air-conditioning and central heating. There are 6 beautiful bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, some including a big jacuzzi bath or double showers heads. Cleaning and linen changes are on Saturday’s, but more can be requested if desired. The villa’s owners are passionate about service and are willing and able to assist with organizing a small wedding or birthday party if you require.
