Paxos Beach House

This wonderful, light-filled villa stands proudly overlooking the sea. It's in a secluded spot on the east coast of Paxos but just a short drive to the villages of Loggos and Lakka. You can wander down the hillside path, ending in steps, to your own secluded cove with crystal blue waters and a little beach.

Enormous windows provide unobstructed sea views and a sense of height and space, especially from the large open-plan sitting room. Decorated in neutral colours, with modern art adorning the walls and sleek contemporary furniture, the interiors are chic and minimalist. Bedrooms are split across the main house and annexe; below the house is a gym, with one of the bedrooms that may appeal to teenagers. There's also a study and a very well-equipped kitchen.

The large grounds extend across many levels with terraces and different spots to relax and admire the views. There's a choice of comfortable seating, a covered dining terrace, a curved infinity pool, a barbecue and a private floodlit tennis court. Kids will love the treehouse below the house, accessed by a little wooden bridge. Table tennis and boules are also provided.

Paxos is a beautiful, unspoilt island small enough to explore easily by car. The three main towns of Gaios (the port where you will arrive by boat), Loggos and Lakka are all within a short drive of the villa. There are great traditional tavernas and funky cafes with an excellent standard of food and drink and fun cocktail bars. You can take a boat trip over to Anti Paxos, swim in the blue waters, laze on the beach or take out a paddleboard.
