Kerasia Retreat spans two spacious houses in the heart of Durrell country. Just a moment’s walk from one another and sleeping up to 14 guests collectively, this is a perfect slice of island life for larger or multigenerational groups. The four-bedroom house is almost directly on Kerasia Beach, and the second, slightly smaller, is perched just a little higher on the coastline. The retreat benefits from a pleasantly secluded location while still giving easy access to the sparkling sea and waterfront tavernas. Wake up to views of peaceful olive groves that spill out onto turquoise water, which you can pad out to each morning from the rustic wooden jetty.
Both houses have fresh and inviting interiors. Recently furnished with exceptional flair, the pale walls are set off against interesting pieces of furniture and decorative art. There are bright kitchen and dining areas with high ceilings and big, gorgeous living rooms with an eclectic mix of seating to accommodate everyone. A total of seven bedrooms, all ensuite, are made up with crisp white bed linen and beautiful fabric headboards. Every room is air-conditioned, offering a variety of sea views, garden views, and direct terrace access. The master suite in the larger beach house has a dressing room and private balcony.
There is a plethora of outdoor spaces to sit, lie, swim, or eat. Spend lazy afternoons around the plunge pool or the spacious swimming pool, which overlooks the sea. The larger house on the beach has a shaded terrace that adjoins the villa, where you will find an outdoor dining and seating area. The hillside home has a poolside barbecue, a shaded sea-facing veranda for dining al fresco, and steps leading down to a terrace that is built into the hillside and framed by olive trees, with an outside lounge and cushioned sun beds.
The pebbly Kerasia Beach has crystal waters and is surrounded by lush vegetation. Gaze at the coasts of Albania as you bask in the sunshine and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. Kerasia is a quiet oasis, with just a few traditional tavernas that serve the freshest fish lunches. Just a short drive away is Kassiopi, the biggest village in northeast Corfu. This will be your destination for livelier nightlife, shopping, a wider selection of more cosmopolitan restaurants, and the buzz of the busy fishing port.
