Five good-sized bedrooms are spread across the two floors, all with outside terraces and one with a four-poster bed. There's also a large vaulted living room, with big blue sofas and a dining area, a well-equipped gym and TV games room, and a proper chef's kitchen.
There are two well-thought-out dining areas and a super outdoor kitchen. The eye for colour and detail exhibited inside continues to the outdoor living areas, with colourful seating, plump beanbags, terracotta pots and stylish planting. The lowest level, below the lawn, is the pool area, with a tranquil infinity pool, loungers for sunbathing and a pool house for changing and showering,
Numerous beaches, some with waterfront tavernas, are within a short distance. Kaminaki (6km) offers the only sandy beach in the area and is great for kids; Avlaki (3.5km), where there are two excellent tavernas and good conditions for snorkelling, paddle boarding and swimming, and Kalami (9km), where Lawrence Durrell once lived in The White House (now a restaurant) and with a lively beachfront and a water sports centre. Inland, you can drive up to the abandoned mountain village of Old Sinies (3km), where there are some great hikes, and visit Old Perithia (Corfu's ghost village), where you can wander around the abandoned buildings and eat in the tavernas. St. Stephano, with teenage-friendly nightlife, is less than a 15-minute drive away.
