EXTERIOR

Outside, the grounds exemplify Umbria's reputation for being the 'green heart of Italy'.

With expansive lawns, landscaped gardens, and plenty of green space for outdoor activities, this setting is great for children. It offers several al fresco dining spots, including an eight-person dining table and a smaller table with lounge chairs for five. The L-shaped pool features a shallow 'water beach' area, perfect for placing sunbeds, relaxing, and taking in the views. It's also an ideal spot for little ones to splash around safely.

Umbria's capital, Perugia, with its historic walled Medieval centre, is a short drive.

Many other spectacular hilltop towns lie within an hour's drive, including Assisi, with its 16th-century basilica; Siena, famous for the Palio horse race; and Gubbio, where a 'birdcage' cable car ride takes you up to its peak. Very close to the estate is its own restaurant, Il Caldero, and a short drive further brings you to the village of Pierantonio, offering shops and a bank. Citta Della Domenica Park—a small zoo and adventure park on the outskirts of Perugia—and the Chocolate Factory and Museum in Perugia are popular choices for family outings. The estate golf course is nearby, and Lake Trasimeno, a 20-minute drive away, the lake features beach areas, safe for swimming, and options to hire boats or kayaks. Rome and Florence are within a two-hour drive. The region is known for its many festivals and delicious cuisine, from black truffles to chocolate and renowned local wines.
