A palette of neutrals, warm umbers, and ochres is used for decoration, with an elegant blend of traditional and contemporary furniture and furnishings. The main house has two sitting rooms, one with a smart TV and a well-equipped kitchen with doors opening to the terrace. The long dark wood table in the dining room can seat up to 12 people and is lit by Venetian glass chandeliers. Four large en-suite bedrooms and a four-bed bunk room are in the main house, and two further large en-suites are in the guest house. The latter also has a kitchen with a table for four and a sitting room.
Further, chairs and tables are set around the various terraces, all with great views. Above the lawns, there's a 16-meter infinity pool surrounded by teak decking, comfortable loungers with parasols, and a pergola-covered al fresco kitchen/dining area with a barbecue. All of this is set within gardens planted with olives, lavender, and scented shrubs, punctuated by large terracotta pots characteristic of the Italian style.
The scenic road to the villa showcases the impressive Antognolla Castle, dating back to the 11th century. Conveniently located, it's just a 25-minute drive from Perugia San Francesco d'Assisi Airport and 30 minutes from the charming town of Città di Castello, known for its rich history and art. The historic city of Perugia, famous for its medieval architecture and vibrant culture, is approximately 20 minutes away, making Villa Monticelli an ideal base for exploring the region.
