The property lies within the Petrarolo Estate, and guests have access to the many paths leading through lavender fields, woodland and meadows. Lido Bambu, with its sandy beach, is only a few minutes by car, and the towns of Ostuni, Alberobello and Lecce are all less than an hour’s drive.
Thick walls and original niches create an uncluttered, calm ambience. The main living area is in the larger trulli, with a big, curved sofa, kitchenette, and stairs leading to the mezzanine area, which has a couch that converts to a queen bed. The two double bedrooms are en-suite, one with a walk-in shower and the other with a private garden, outdoor shower, and al fresco marble bath.
Terraced areas and four pergolas provide a choice of places to sit or eat. There’s a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with a barbecue and a fireplace for cooler evenings. Close to the pool, a dining table and chairs for 8 sit under a bamboo pergola. Daily continental breakfast is laid out here by the staff. The 10m pool is surrounded by a lawn, beyond which are olive trees and vineyards. There are loungers with sun parasols and a children’s play area with a trampoline and swings at the far end of the garden.
Both Bari and Brindisi airports are within an hour’s drive, with Bari accommodating private jets. The beaches of Monopoli are just 10 minutes away, while the lively lidos of Savelletri and Capitolo are 25 minutes by car. Nearby, guests can explore the Castellana Grotte, the trulli of Alberobello, and the charming hilltop towns of Ostuni, Locorotondo, and Martina Franca, as well as sample wines in the renowned Canale di Pirro wine valley.
