Flying into Corfu Airport, take a 50-minute drive up into the hills of northeast Corfu and you’ll arrive at the peaceful sanctuary of Vouno. The villa is just outside Santa, a hilltop hamlet near to Porta. For an authentic taste of Greece, make sure to visit the charming traditional taverna in Porta’s old School House, in the grounds of the church. The villa is the ideal starting place from which to explore the island on foot; head out on one of the hiking tracks behind the house and you’ll soon be rewarded with panoramic views of Albania, Corfu Town and Mount Pantokrator. Agni Bay, home to two of the most popular restaurants on the island, is less than 15 minutes drive away as is the water sport centre at Kalami. The picturesque harbour villages of Agios Stefanos and Kassiopi are only a fifteen minute drive away, where boats can be hired to explore Corfu's beautiful coastline.

This property can comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests, with four bedrooms in the main house, two in the cottage, and one further bedroom in the studio. All bedrooms are luxuriously appointed for absolute comfort, and all have air conditioning and an ensuite bath or shower room. The beauty of this property is that it has something for everyone: little ones can paddle in the infinity pool’s shallow platform, while swimmers can do lengths, and those who are just happy to watch can do so from a sun lounger or under the shade by the poolside bar. Kids can run around on the lawn or play one of the many games provided, while those who want to slip away can relax in a shaded spot in the olive groves. At mealtimes, everyone can come together on the bamboo-covered terrace and enjoy food fresh from the barbeque or pizza oven.

At Vouno there is a team of four staff to ensure your stay is truly relaxing. This includes daily housekeeping in the morning and evening year-round, and a chef and assistant in high season who live close by in the village. There is also the option to use the owner’s Windy Tornado Sports Cruiser, at an extra charge. A skipper will take you out on a boat tour of the island, stopping off at the island’s best tavernas and beaches on the way.
