This wonderful property is situated just outside unspoilt Santa, one of the traditional villages perched on the slopes of the mountainous Sinies region. Behind the house, you can hike in the hills, head downhill, and you can drive to the coast in 15 minutes. There are spectacular views across the sea to Albania and lots of space both inside and out.
Bedrooms are split across the main house, 2-bed cottage and 1-bed studio. This makes it perfect for a large family with teenagers or groups of friends. A glazed double-height entrance hall floods the house with light and leads to living rooms on either side, both with doors to the terrace. The main large open-plan sitting room also has a dining table for 10 and connects to the very well-equipped kitchen. The second sitting room, with a study area, has doors to a tented al fresco sitting area.
Bedroom 5 - It is possible for 2 additional guests (children/teenagers) to be accommodated on the mezzanine levels.
Up to 20 guests can dine in comfort on the bamboo-covered terrace. Connecting via doors to the main living area, it's a wonderful place for entertaining, with a BBQ, great views, and a pizza oven in the nearby courtyard. The pool is long enough for lengths, has a shallow platform for paddling, and has a poolside bar on the surrounding terrace. The outside areas are beautifully landscaped with areas of green lawn, plenty of shrubs and scented flowers. And if you would like to explore the island's coastline and beaches, a skipper will take you out in the owner's boat for an extra cost.
It's a few minutes drive to the classic, tiny picturesque hamlet of Porta where there's a traditional taverna. In late August, one of the oldest festivals on the island is held in Porta. There are many beaches to visit in the area. Agni Bay, home to two of the most popular restaurants on the island, is less than a 15-minute drive away, as is the water sports centre at Kalami. The picturesque harbour villages of Agios Stefanos and Kassiopi are only a fifteen-minute drive away. Boats can be hired at either village to explore Corfu's beautiful coastline.
